Univex Commercial Mixer Repair
We repair Univex SRM+ planetary mixers and SL spiral mixers in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego, along with older SRM units without the plus. Tell us the model and we confirm parts first, then quote the price in writing.
Common Univex mixers problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Mixer will not start
Hard or noisy speed change
Motor overload trips on heavy dough
PTO hub will not turn
Grease leaking at the planetary
The SRM+ series covers 12 to 80 quarts, from the SRM12+ and SRM20+ to the SRM40+, SRM60+ and SRM80+, plus variants such as the SRMF20+, SRM60+PM and SRM60+HD. Many carry a PTO hub for attachments. The SL line is spiral dough mixers, including the SL80RB, SL120RB, SL250RB and the SL280LH.
A mixer that will not start leads us to the bowl guard and interlock first, then the switch and the motor. If the speed change feels hard or sounds rough, the variable-speed drive is wearing, and we inspect the belts and discs. Overload trips with a heavy dough batch make us check how the machine is loaded and the motor condition.
A PTO hub that will not turn an attachment, or grease showing at the planetary head, points to a worn drive or a failed seal. In a busy kitchen the planetary head works hard every day, so seals and grease do wear out over the years. We replace what is worn, and on older SRM machines we tell you plainly when repair costs approach the price of a replacement.

Why does my Univex mixer trip its overload?
A batch that is too large or too stiff is the usual reason, though a tired motor can do it too. We test both and give you the written price before replacing anything.
What causes grease leaking from my Univex planetary head?
A worn seal at the planetary is the usual cause. We open the head, replace the seal, check the gears for damage, and give you a written price before the work begins.
Do you repair Univex SL spiral mixers?
Yes. We service the SL80RB through the SL280LH. We check the guard, the bowl drive and the spiral drive, and we confirm parts before the visit.
