Three Groups of Bloomfield Brewers
Bloomfield brewers fall into three groups. The decanter brewers, models 9003, 9010, 9012, 9016 and 9016EX, have three warmers and an in-line design. The 9003 is pour-over, while the 9010, 9012 and 9016 have a faucet. The 9016 runs on 120 or 240 volts and has no cord, so an electrician must wire it. The E-Max and E-Max T, model 2030, are microprocessor brewers. The Integrity series, models 8752, 8773 and 8774, is both current and older.
Decanter brewers rely on thermostats and switches and show no codes, so we work through the tank, heater, thermostat and warmers one at a time. A leaking faucet, a warmer plate that stays cold and slow heating are the usual calls.
E-Max Messages and Lime Scale
The E-Max prints a Call For Service message with a name, and the name guides us. Probe/Heater Error means the heater ran for five minutes without a temperature rise. Overheat Error appears when the temperature goes past the programmed maximum, set at 208 degrees F on a new brewer. No Water Sensed during filling or during brewing sends us to the supply, the inlet valve and the sensor. Keyswitch Locked means a key was held down for ten seconds, and if it keeps happening we test the keypad.
Lime scale in the tank is the common thread in hard-water cities, so we descale when it is the cause. On an older brewer we say honestly when a repair is not worth it. You see a written price before work, and the repair carries a 30-day warranty.
Bloomfield codes and alarms
What the display or the blinking light means, what is safe to check, and when to stop and call us.
Bloomfield lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
What is No Water Sensed on a Bloomfield E-Max?
The brewer did not detect water when the inlet valve opened. Low flow, a closed supply valve or a bad sensor can cause it. We check the supply first and then the valve and sensor.
Do Bloomfield decanter brewers show error codes?
The 9003, 9010, 9012 and 9016 do not. They use thermostats and switches, so we test the tank heater, thermostat and warmers in order until we find the cause.
Why is my Bloomfield brewer not hot enough?
Scale on the heater, a weak thermostat or a heater that has stopped working can all cause it. We test each one and give you a written price before any repair.
