The Wilbur Curtis Brewers We Repair
Most of the Wilbur Curtis brewers we see are G4 digital models. That covers the Gemini and GemX airpot, thermal and satellite brewers, the Gemini IF versions, and the ThermoPro Twin. Behind the keypad sit a universal power module and a universal control module that talk to each other. We also work on the earlier G3 line, which still runs in many restaurants and offices.
A G4 brewer is good at saying what is wrong. Some messages are warnings and the brewer keeps brewing: Maintenance Required, Lime Scale Warning and Low Water Flow. Others stop brewing: Water Level Error, Sensor Error, Over Temp Error and Lime Scale Error. Hard water coats the level probe with scale, and once the probe reading climbs, the brewer moves from a warning to an error.
Our Diagnostic Path
For a Water Level Error we look at the inlet valve, the supply line and the water filter, because a tank that fills too long shuts the brewer down. A Sensor Error takes us to the temperature thermistor and its wiring, and an Over Temp Error to the tank and the sensor. Internal Error messages point to the link between the power module and the control module.
If the brewer will not heat at all, we first confirm the probe is touching water. Then we descale the tank and probe if scale is the cause, and test the heating circuit.
On an older G3 we tell you honestly when a repair no longer pays. The price is in writing before work begins, and the repair carries a 30-day warranty.

Wilbur Curtis lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
How serious is a Lime Scale Warning on a Wilbur Curtis?
The water level probe is reading heavy scale. The brewer still brews, but an error follows if the scale builds further. We descale the tank and probe, and give you a written price first.
Can you repair the older G3 Wilbur Curtis brewers?
Yes. We still service G3 Gemini, WB and ThermoPro brewers along with the G4 line. If a G3 is not worth the repair cost, we tell you before work starts.
Why does my brewer say Water Level Error?
The fill solenoid ran longer than the brewer allows. A closed supply valve, a clogged filter, a weak inlet valve or scale on the probe can cause it. We test each one.
