Eemax Heaters in Our Service List
Eemax heats water on demand with no storage tank, so a dish machine gets sanitizing water without tank heat losses. The three-phase SpecAdvantage and SafeAdvantage models range from 32 to 150 kW at 208, 480 or 600 volts. Models with an S in the name are sanitation heaters shipped at a 180 degree F setting, with a range of 100 to 180 degrees F. The ProSeries XTP covers 18 to 54 kW with a four-line LED display, and the Series Two EX and SP models, such as the EX144T2-S and EX160T2-S, are single-phase heaters of 15 to 23 kW.
The AutoBooster is a different product. It lifts water for tank heaters from 80 to 140 degrees F and is not a dish machine sanitizing booster, so we confirm the model before planning any repair.
What We Test First
When there is little or no hot water, we check the heating elements, the contactor and the thermal cut-out, called an ECO. Sanitation heaters use a yellow-dot ECO kit made for the sanitation temperature range. If 180 degrees F is not reached, we check whether the flow exceeds what the heater is rated for. Lime scale cuts output over time in hard-water areas. Commercial control boards print errors on the display, so tell us the message.
Never open a three-phase heater yourself. You see the price in writing before we start, and the repair carries a 30-day warranty.

Flow above the heater's rating is a common cause, along with scaled elements and a tripped thermal cut-out. Call us with the model and we test each, including the water flow to the dish machine.
What is an ECO on an Eemax heater?
An ECO is a thermal cut-out that shuts the heater off if it overheats. Sanitation heaters use a special kit for the 180 degree F range. If your heater has no heat, call us and we test it.
Is the Eemax AutoBooster a dish machine booster?
No. The AutoBooster raises water temperature for tank heaters, from 80 to 140 degrees F. A dish machine that needs 180 degree F sanitizing water needs an S-model sanitation heater.
