Hobart Glasswasher Repair
We repair the Hobart LXe and AM15 undercounters that bars and restaurants use for glassware in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego. We check the temperatures, chemicals and fill first, then give you the price in writing before work starts.
Common Hobart glasswashers problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Glasses come out cloudy
LOW RINSE TEMP message
FILL ERROR stops the machine
Lime buildup on the rinse arms
Chemical sanitizer not feeding
Hobart’s undercounter dish machines are the ones most bars use for glassware. The LXeC and LXePR are low-temperature chemical machines, the LXeH is high temperature with a built-in booster, and the AM15 family offers door-type machines that convert between high-temperature and chemical sanitizing. We repair all of them.
Cloudy glassware usually comes from water hardness, a lack of delime, or the wrong chemical amount. LXe machines include a delime reminder alert, which tells you when lime scale needs to be removed from the booster and rinse arms. A LOW RINSE TEMP message after repeated cycles points us to cool incoming water, rapid cycling or a booster set too low. On the LXeC and LXePR, the sanitizer pump setting depends on the strength of the bleach used, so we check that as well.
A busy bar cycles the machine constantly, which is hard on fill valves, level sensors and seals. We tell you plainly when an older unit is not worth repairing, and our work carries a 30-day warranty.
Why are glasses cloudy from my Hobart undercounter?
Hard water, lime scale and the chemical amount are the usual causes. Start the delime routine when the reminder appears and check the chemical supply. If glasses are still cloudy, call us.
Can I use bleach of any strength in my Hobart LXeC?
The sanitizer pump is set for a specific bleach strength, so a different strength needs a pump setting change. Call us before changing products and we adjust the setting.
Why does my Hobart show LOW RINSE TEMP while washing glasses?
Rapid cycling, cool incoming water or a booster set low can cause it. Let the machine recover between racks and check the hot water supply. If the message stays, call us and we test the booster.
