The tachometer is the sensor that tells the drive how fast the motor is turning. The control uses it to know the drum is moving, so it can ramp the speed and confirm the spin. With no proof the drum is turning, the control stops the cycle. The owner's manual says to power down and look at the H3 connection on the drive and at the tach connections.
