UniMac Industrial Washer Door Lock Error: Door Not Locked
Door Lock Error means the UniLinc control sensed an unlocked loading door during a cycle. The cycle is aborted, the Cycle Aborted Error Menu appears and an audio alarm sounds. The operator can only clear the menu and return to the Cycle Menu.
Medium: the cycle is aborted, but the cause is usually a door or lock that can be restored.

What does UniMac Door Lock Error mean?
While a cycle runs, the UniLinc control keeps checking that the loading door is locked. If the lock signal drops out, the control stops the wash, aborts the cycle and shows the Cycle Aborted Error Menu with Door Lock Error, while an audio alarm sounds. The event is logged as a lock count on the Alarms screen, listed as screen 2 of 4. According to the manual, the only thing the operator can do is clear the menu and return to the Cycle Menu; the cycle cannot be resumed. The message is about the lock, not the door being wide open, which has its own message, Door Open Error. A door that was closed but not locked, a latch that is worn or full of lint, or a lock sensor that reports intermittently will all produce it. The repeated count in the log is the clue to a lock that is failing, not a one-off.

Possible causes
Likely causes — what usually sits behind Door Lock Error on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- Door not fully pushed into the lock
- Latch or lock pin worn
- Lint or debris in the lock mechanism
- Lock sensor reporting intermittently
Safe checks before calling for service
- Clear the Cycle Aborted Error Menu and return to the Cycle Menu, the only option the manual gives.
- Close the door firmly and see that the lock engages.
- With the machine off, wipe lint from the latch and seal.
- Restart the load and watch whether the error returns.
- If Door Lock Error repeats, note the lock count shown on the Alarms screen and tell the technician.
How a technician diagnoses Door Lock Error
- Read the event log and the lock count on the Alarms screen.
- Check the door alignment, hinge play and latch engagement.
- Inspect the lock mechanism and sensor for wear and debris.
- Watch the lock input as the door closes and opens.
- Replace the worn latch or sensor and run a test cycle.
- The lock is a safety interlock and must work correctly.
- The lock sensor and its harness connect to line-voltage controls.
- Adjusting or replacing the latch can need panels removed.
How Door Lock Error differs from similar codes
Door Lock Error means unlocked. Door Open Error means open. Each cycle abort is logged in its own count.

Can I resume the cycle?
No. The manual gives only the option to clear the menu and return to the Cycle Menu.
Is it the same as Door Open Error?
No. This one is about the lock signal. Door Open Error is a separate message.
Why does it keep coming back?
A worn latch or sensor repeats the event, and the log count shows how often.
