UniMac Washers and Dryers We Service
On the washer side we work on the UW pocket hardmount machines from 35 to 150 pounds with the UniLinc computer control, the UWL, UWN and UWU 035 to 125 pound hardmounts with a front-end control, the UC softmount and hardmount washer-extractors from 20 to 100 pounds, and the newer UCA series with a drive board. Some laundries still run older UW60P2 machines with the WE-6 computer, and we repair those as well.
For drying we see the 120 and 170 pound gas and steam tumble dryers with the On Premise Micro control and an airflow switch that watches the exhaust.
Wear Patterns and First Checks
Hard water scales fill valves and inlet screens, and lint in a hot laundry room works into dryer exhaust and sensors. A UniLinc washer keeps a log of the last eight errors, which tells us a lot before we open anything. A door lock message sends us to the latch and its switch, a fill alarm to the valves and screens, and an Ed code to the motor drive.
On a large dryer, AF codes mean the airflow switch is not seeing enough exhaust, and OP or SH point to the temperature sensor. We look at the duct and the switch before replacing a board.
Many of these machines are legacy models, and we say plainly when a repair no longer makes sense. We match parts to the model number, put the quote in writing and warrant the work for 30 days.

Yes. UniLinc machines are older but still in service. We read the error log, test the door lock, valves and drive, and tell you in writing what a repair costs before we start.
What does an AF code on a UniMac dryer mean?
The airflow switch is not seeing enough air through the dryer. Clean the lint screen first. If the code returns, we check the exhaust duct, the switch and the fan.
Can you work on a UniMac washer that shows an Ed code?
Yes. Ed codes come from the motor drive on the front-end control machines. Cycling the power once is safe. If the code repeats, we test the drive, the motor and the wiring.
Which UniMac models do you service?
UW, UWL, UWN, UWU and UC washer-extractors, UCA drive-board models and the 120 and 170 pound dryers. Call with the model number from the data plate and we confirm the parts.
