What does UniMac error code Eio 34 mean?
Eio 34 is the hardware version of Eio 30 on a UniMac QN washer-extractor. Where Eio 30 points to the disable pin, Eio 34 reports that the disable hardware behind that pin failed its check on the input and output board. That circuit is what allows the lock solenoid to be released after a cycle. The board cannot vouch for releasing or holding the lock solenoid, so the control ends the cycle and the code stays up until a technician tests the lock circuit. The manual points to the I/O board output stage for the lock, the lock wiring and connector, the lock solenoid, and board replacement if testing shows it is needed. In daily use, the first sign may be a door that stays shut after the drum has stopped, or one that does not latch at all. It is not a problem to solve with force. Prying a locked door can break the latch and does nothing about the board.
