UniMac Industrial Washer Water Level Sensor Error: High Level in Extract
Water Level Sensor Error means the UniLinc control saw a high water level from the analog Water Level Sensor during an Extract step. The cycle is aborted with an audio alarm and a log entry. Clear the menu and return to the Cycle Menu.
Medium: the cycle is aborted before spin, and the cause may be the drain.

What does UniMac Water Level Sensor Error mean?
During extraction the tub should be empty of free water, because the drum is spinning at speed. The control therefore checks the analog Water Level Sensor during an Extract step. If the sensor still reports a high level, the control aborts the cycle, shows the Cycle Aborted Error Menu with Water Level Sensor Error, sounds the audio alarm and increments the Level count in the log. The operator's only action, according to the manual, is to clear the menu and return to the Cycle Menu. The cause can be water that did not drain, which makes the sensor right, or a sensor that reads high when the tub is empty. Either way, the control will not spin a tub that it believes is full, because that would load the drive and throw water out of the machine.
Affected models and control systems
UniMac UniLinc control on the UW35TV, UW60TV, UW80TV, UW100TV, UW125TV and UW150TV washer-extractors and the UWL, UWN and UWU 035-150 T3 models.
Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.
What you may notice
- Water Level Sensor Error on the display
- Audio alarm
- Cycle aborted at the start of extraction
- Water left in the tub
Possible causes
Likely causes — what usually sits behind Water Level Sensor Error on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- Drain blocked so water remains at extraction
- Level sensor reading high with an empty tub
- Level sensor tubing or port blocked
- Inlet valve leaking into the tub
Safe checks before calling for service
- Clear the Cycle Aborted Error Menu and return to the Cycle Menu.
- Look at the tub once the door unlocks to see whether water remains.
- Check the drain hose and floor drain for backup.
- Run a short drain and extract only if the site allows.
- Tell the technician what you saw and the Level count.
How a technician diagnoses Water Level Sensor Error
- Read the Level count and the cycle step.
- Compare the sensor reading with the real water level.
- Check the drain path and valve.
- Inspect the sensor port and tubing for blockage.
- Replace the sensor or clear the drain and test an extract.
- The sensor and drain valve are wired at line voltage.
- A spinning drum with water in it is a serious hazard.
- Checking the analog sensor needs a meter and the maker's data.
How Water Level Sensor Error differs from similar codes
Water Level Sensor Error is raised in extraction. Drain Alarm Error is raised when the drain takes too long.

Is the sensor wrong?
Sometimes. First check whether water really remained in the tub.
Can I resume?
No. The manual gives only the option to clear the menu.
What is the Level count?
It is the log counter for this event.
