This group covers the older Henny Penny pressure fryers still in service, labeled 561, 580, 590, 600, 690, 691, PFE-591, PFE-592, PFG-691, CFA-500 and CFA-600. Their controls are the Computron 1000, 2000 and 8000, which look and behave differently from the newer iControl units.

On these fryers a message such as E-70D can simply mean the fryer type is set wrong in Special Programming, so we check that before blaming parts. Age shows up in gaskets, switches, wiring and boards, so we look at those next, along with the high limit and the probe.
