Repairs this series usually needs
- One-beep high evaporator temperature shutdowns
- Two-beep harvest backup timer and three-beep freeze timer alarms
- Float switch and water valve trouble behind freeze-ups
- Low or high voltage shutdowns at six and seven beeps
- Scale and condenser dirt in busy kitchens
These are the stackable KM cubers with an H near the end of the model number, such as KM-1301SAH or KM-1900SWH, plus the KMH-2000 versions. They use either the E board or the G board, and the board shows its alarms through a red POWER OK light, green lights and a beeper. Plenty of these are still running in kitchens, and we service them.
On the data plate, look at the model number: the letters after the size tell you air, water or remote cooling, and the H marks this generation. Tell us the number and the beep count when you call.
We start with water supply, scale on the float switch, condenser airflow and the evaporator thermistor, then move to the valves and charge. If a unit this old needs more than it is worth, we will tell you so before any money is spent.

Read the model number on the data plate. If it looks like KM-1301SAH or KM-1900SWH, with an H at the end, you have this generation. If it ends in J, it belongs to a newer board family.
Is a unit this old still worth repairing?
In many cases it is, particularly when scale, water or a dirty condenser is behind the trouble. The price comes in writing first, and we speak up if the bill would outrun what the machine is worth.
What should I tell you when I call?
Read us the model number from the data plate, the beep count or the lights you see, and how long the bin has been short of ice. With that we can sort out parts ahead of time.
