Repairs this series usually needs
- Rinse below 180F
- Tank not heating
- Rack jam or drive trouble
- Booster scale
- Gas heat not lighting on CGP models
The AJ line is Jackson’s rack conveyor. The suffix tells the heat source: CE electric, CS steam and CGP gas. Numbers such as 44, 64, 86 and 100 give the size, and the data plate carries the full model, for example AJ-64CS.
When an AJ conveyor falls short, we check the rinse temperature and the booster first, then the tank heat, the conveyor drive and the rack path. On CGP models we test the burner and the ignition. If gas is smelled, everyone leaves and the gas utility is called from a safe place outside.
Plenty of AJ machines are old and still working, and we speak up if one is not worth repairing. Larger AJ models handle serious volume, so a stoppage can hold up a whole dish room. Call us early and tell us the full model from the plate, such as AJ-86CE, so parts are confirmed before the visit.

CE is electric heat, CS is steam and CGP is gas. The data plate tells you which you have, and that decides what we test.
What if a CGP machine makes me smell gas?
Get everyone out, call the gas utility from a safe place outside, and touch no switches on the way. Once the utility says it is safe, call us and we test the burner and ignition.
Is an old AJ worth repairing?
Often. Many AJ conveyors are older units that still do the job. The cost comes first, and we are honest when a repair is out of proportion to the machine.
