Jackson Commercial Dishwasher Repair
We repair Jackson undercounter, door-type and conveyor dish machines in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego, from DishStar and TempStar to Conserver, AJ and RackStar. We start with the switches, valves and heaters, then quote the price in writing.
Common Jackson dish machines problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Wash pump will not start
Machine will not fill or keeps filling
Final rinse under 180 degrees F
Sanitizer reads low on chemical models
Heavy scale on the heater
Leak at the door or drain
Jackson’s high-temperature machines, the DishStar HT-E, DynaTemp and TempStar, are built to wash at 150 degrees F and rinse at 180. The chemical-sanitizing machines, such as the DishStar LT and Conserver XL-E, rely on a chlorine reading of at least 50 ppm instead of heat. The AJ, AJX and RackStar conveyors follow the same temperature rules at higher volume.
For a wash pump that will not start, we test the OFF-ON-FILL switch, the wash relay and the door switch. For a machine that will not fill or keeps filling, we check the fill solenoid coil and the drain ball. When the rinse is cool, we look at the booster, its thermostat and the heating element, and we often find scale on them where the water is hard. The machine has a delime switch or cycle, and skipping it shortens the life of every heater.
Older DynaTemp, TempStar and AJ machines are still common in restaurants, and we repair them. If a repair is not worth the cost, we tell you so before work begins.

High-temperature models such as the TempStar and DishStar HT-E heat the rinse to 180 degrees F. Chemical models such as the DishStar LT and Conserver XL-E sanitize with a product instead. The model name tells us which, so have it ready when you call.
Why does my Jackson machine keep filling?
A fill solenoid that leaks or a drain ball that does not seat can let water keep coming. Make sure nothing is holding the drain open, then call us if it continues. We test the coil and the drain seating.
Why will my Jackson chemical machine not sanitize?
Low chlorine, an empty product container or a pump that lost its prime are the usual causes. Check the container first. If the reading is still low, call us and we test the pump and the feed line.
