Repairs this series usually needs
- Cabinet not holding heat
- Element or thermostat problems
- Gasket wear
- Control read-out
- Door alignment
The MCCH cabinets are heated holding cabinets in the McCall Series I family, not refrigerators. Six numbers are listed, including MCCH1, MCCH1-S and MCCH2. The control is electronic, with a digital readout.
We check the heating element, the control, the probe and the door seal. Heat leaks through a worn gasket just as cold does, and an element that is weak holds a lower temperature than you set. These older cabinets are still working in kitchens, and repair is often the sensible choice.
Tell us the number from the plate and what the cabinet is doing, and we plan the visit. We also confirm that the cabinet reaches its target within a reasonable time, since a slow cabinet wastes power and loses heat at every door opening.

No. It holds food hot. We check the element, the probe and the control instead of a cooling system. We also test the thermostat and the probe, because a cabinet that holds heat poorly may have a weak element or a worn gasket.
Why is it not hot enough?
The element, the probe or the gasket may be the cause. We work through them one by one and put any part price on paper first.
Do you repair older heated cabinets?
Yes. They are older units still in service. Yes, and an element or control that is worn out gets an honest answer from us before any part is ordered.
