The P20 is the wider UltraGold gas fryer, sold in 18 and 20 inch widths as single fryers and as batteries of two to six vats. The data plate shows a number such as B-P20-20-4-UCP. UCP at the end means UltraClear Plus filtration, while UC means a basic filter.
We start with the controls and probe, then the ignition and gas valve, then the filter pump, pan and seals. Heat that is too high or too low often comes down to the probe, a setting or gas pressure, and we sort those out before we touch the burners.
Many of these batteries are older ones that have stayed in service, and we repair them. Tell us how many vats are on the battery, and which one is giving trouble.

The line runs from two to six vats. The count appears in the model number, as in B-P20-18-3-UCP, where the 3 is the number of vats in that battery.
Why is my P20 heat too high?
The probe, a temperature setting or the gas pressure may be the cause. Switch the fryer off, let the oil cool and call us. We test each cause and quote the repair in writing.
Do you repair older P20 batteries?
Yes, and we tell you honestly when a repair is not worth the money. Older P20 batteries are still in service in many kitchens, and you see the price on paper first.
