Ultrafryer Models in Our Service List

Ultrafryer builds gas fryers in tube and infrared styles, mostly as batteries of two to six vats. The UltraGold P30 line in 14 and 18 inch widths uses the PAR-3 heat exchanger with UltraClear Plus filtration and UltraStat 23 controls. The P20 batteries, the 65 lb Right Size two-vat infrared fryers, the Jumbo, the UltraPro14 infrared premix fryers and the UG and UE series complete the current range. Older UltraStat 25 and 402 units and early PAR-3 fryers still cook in restaurants across our five metros, and we repair those as well.

Ignition, Probes and Heat Control

We diagnose these fryers by how they behave and by testing, not by looking up a numbered code. An ignition lockout takes us through the gas valve, electrode and ignition module. No spark and no blower sends us to the probe leads, an open probe and the controller. Puffing at start-up usually means wrong gas pressure or a cracked electrode. Too much heat can come from the probe, an offset setting, gas pressure, or a set temperature above 400 degrees F.

The high limit shuts the system down when oil is below the minimum fill line, so we check the oil level before blaming a part. Problems that come and go can trace to loose wiring or a hot room, and a busy fry station provides both. You get a written price before work, an honest word on whether an older battery should be replaced, and a 30-day warranty on the repair.

FAQUltrafryer questions
Do you service older Ultrafryer models with UltraStat controls?

Yes. We repair older UltraStat 25 and 402 fryers as well as current UltraStat 23 models. We confirm the model first so the right parts come with us, and we say when a repair is not worth it.

Why does my Ultrafryer make a puffing sound when it starts?

Puffing at start-up usually means wrong gas pressure or a cracked electrode. If you ever smell gas, get everyone out and call the gas utility from outside. Otherwise call us and we will test both.

Why does my Ultrafryer shut down on high limit?

Low oil is a common reason, so check that the oil is at or above the minimum fill line. If the level is right, the probe or controller may need replacing, and we test both.
