Repairs this series usually needs
- Bowl guard that does not make
- Motor overload under heavy dough
- Bowl lift problems
- Gear noise
The Varimixer AR series are planetary mixers sized in liters, from the AR30 up to the AR200. They are floor-standing machines for bakeries and large kitchens, and the model number is on the data plate. The number after AR is the bowl size.
We check the guard and the bowl position first, then the lift, the motor and the gearbox. Varimixer machines should be bolted to the floor, and a loose mounting adds wear to everything above it. Heavy dough and a hot room are a lot of load on any of them.
An AR mixer that is still working after many years may only need a switch, a seal or a bolt to be tightened. We give a written price first, and if the gearbox is badly worn, we say so before any money is spent.

How is an AR60 sized?
It is the bowl size in liters, so 60 liters for the AR60. The model number is on the data plate, and we use it to confirm parts.
Why should the mixer be bolted down?
The maker requires it, and a mixer that moves under load wears faster and can loosen its own connections. If yours is not anchored, we can point that out during a visit.
Can you work on a mixer that is not bolted down?
Yes, though we will point out that the maker requires bolting to the floor. A mixer that walks under load wears itself quickly, so we advise anchoring it while we are there.
