Repairs this series usually needs
- Bowl guard problems
- Motor overload
- Gear noise
- Switch problems
The Varimixer KODIAK series covers three sizes: KODIAK10, KODIAK20 and KODIAK30, from 10 to 30 liters. Some are still sold, and many older units are in service. The model number is on the data plate, and the number tells you the bowl size in liters.
On a KODIAK we check the guard, the switch and the motor, then the gear case. Small and mid-size mixers do long days in bakeries and kitchens, so wear shows in switches and bearings first. Humid weather can corrode contacts on a mixer that sits near a dish area.
A KODIAK that has served a bakery for years deserves an honest assessment. We give a written price first, and we tell you plainly if a worn gear case or motor means a new mixer would serve you better.

Which sizes are in the KODIAK series?
The KODIAK10, KODIAK20 and KODIAK30. The number after the name is the bowl size in liters, and the full model is printed on the data plate of the mixer.
Why will my mixer not start?
The guard switch, the start switch or the motor. We test them in turn and give you a written price before we order any part.
What goes first on a small mixer?
Switch contacts and bearings tend to age first, especially in a humid kitchen. Both are small repairs, and we can usually explain the cause in plain words when we finish.
