EC19 on a Quantum card washer means the control gets no answer at all from the card reader. The washer treats the reader as missing and will not take a card payment. Turn it off and on, check the reader from the outside, and call us if EC19 returns.

What does Speed Queen error code EC19 mean?
The control sends the reader a request and waits for any reply. On Quantum frontload and topload washers, EC19 means no reply comes back at all. The washer therefore treats the reader as missing and will not take a card payment, and the customer sees the code while the cycle does not start. It does not describe water, drum or door circuits, and it shows only on machines set up for card payment. The manual lists where to look: the reader cable seated at both ends, the reader power supply, whether the reader is the right type for this washer, and the reader or the control board. Because there is no answer, the control cannot tell whether the reader is dead, unplugged or simply the wrong kind. That separates this from EC03, where the reader answers with the wrong request, and from EC18, where it answered earlier and then dropped the link.
