E nr means the output board is not ready: the board that runs valves, locks and drive is not answering the front control. On a CHM1792C, disconnect and reconnect power. If E nr returns, send us a service request and leave the cabinet closed.

What does Speed Queen error code E nr mean?
A modern Speed Queen washer splits its work between a front control that you see and an output board that switches the valves, the lock and the drive. The two talk to each other constantly. When the output board stops answering, the front control shows E nr and halts the cycle, because it can no longer command anything it cannot confirm. On Quantum topload washers the manual describes the drive board as not operating properly. On CHM1792C washer-extractors the input and output board shows a communication error. A wet load may be stuck in the drum, since the lock is also on that board. The cause can sit on either end of the link: a power feed to the output board that dropped out, a loose cable or plug between the control boards, an output board that failed or lost its link, or a control board that no longer reaches the output board. Because the display looks the same for all of those, only measurements tell them apart.
