UniMac Commercial Washer Error Code DOOR: Door Opened During Cycle
DOOR on the WE-6 display means the door opened during a cycle. It is not recoverable. Close the door; once it is detected closed, the computer aborts the cycle and goes to the normal stop routine, and the cycle must be restarted.
Medium: the cycle is aborted, but restarting is usually possible.
What does UniMac error code DOOR mean?
The washer must not run with its door open, so the computer watches the door lock throughout a cycle. If the door opens, or the lock is not detected, it shows DOOR. The display table also words it as a door not locked problem. This error is non-recoverable: there is no choice between Enter and Clear. After the door is closed and detected as closed, the computer automatically aborts the cycle and goes to the normal stop routine. The load then has to be restarted from the beginning of a cycle. Typical reasons are a door that was opened on purpose mid-cycle, a latch that does not hold, a door that was not pushed fully shut, or lint and wear at the lock. On a busy laundry floor the commonest case is simply someone opening the door to add a forgotten item, which this control treats as a reason to end the cycle.
