Repairs this series usually needs

  1. Blinking red POWER OK light for freeze-time correction
  2. Yellow EXT HARVEST light after repeated corrections
  3. Two-beep and three-beep timer alarms
  4. Float switch, water valve and scale problems
  5. Voltage related shutdowns

The J generation covers cubers such as the KM-1301SAJ, KM-1601SWJ, KM-1900SRJ and the three-phase KM-2200 and KM-2600 models. The J at the end of the model number marks the board family, which adds a freeze-time correction function and an EXT HARVEST light to the usual beep alarms.

A blinking red POWER OK light means freeze times drifted too far from cycle to cycle. If the yellow light joins in after three corrections in 36 hours, something is steadily changing: scale, water supply, heat or refrigerant behavior.

We read the lights and beeps, watch several cycles and check water, airflow and the evaporator before touching the sealed system. Because these machines are newer than the H models, the lights are the fastest way for staff to describe what they see when they call us.

FAQHoshizaki KM J-Model Stackable Crescent Cubers questions
What is freeze-time correction?

The board adjusts when it can to keep freeze times consistent. A blinking red POWER OK light tells you the difference between cycles got too large, so something affecting freezing is shifting.

Does the yellow light mean a shutdown?

Not by itself. It shows that three corrections happened in a 36 hour stretch. The machine may still make ice, but it is asking for a freeze-up check before it gets worse.

Can you service the three-phase versions?

Yes. Models ending in 3 are three-phase, and we service them like the single-phase ones. Give us the full model number when you call so we bring the right parts.
