The KMS Serenity machines pair a modular ice head with a remote condensing unit, which moves the heat outside the kitchen. Models include the KMS-822MLJ, KMS-2000MLH, KMS-2000MLJ and the three-phase KMS-2000MLJ3. They use a J-generation control board with an output test button.
Because the condenser sits away from the head, a lot of what goes wrong is outside: dirty coils, a fan that is not turning, or line set problems.
We then check water supply and scale, the float switch, and the beep or light pattern the board shows. If the machine is quiet and the bin is empty, tell us whether the outdoor unit looks dirty or the fan is still, since that saves a step on arrival.

Does the output test button matter?
It lets a technician run the board outputs one at a time to see what responds. We use it to separate board problems from valve, fan and relay problems.
