Find yours on the data plate. Letters after the base number usually mark the voltage, finish or door and do not change the repair.
- KM-255BAH
- KM-255BWH
Repairs this series usually needs
- Beep alarms for high evaporator temperature and timers
- Float switch and water valve trouble
- Low and high voltage shutdowns
- Condenser airflow in tight cabinets
The KM-255B is a compact self-contained cuber that fits under a counter. The KM-255BAH is air-cooled and the KM-255BWH is water-cooled. It is an older line, and many are still making ice in bars and small kitchens.
The board sounds the familiar KM beeps: one for high evaporator temperature, two for harvest backup, three for the freeze timer, six for low voltage and seven for high voltage. Because the cabinet is tight, airflow and heat matter even more than on a big modular head.
We check the grille and condenser, the water supply, the float switch and the thermistor, then the valves. On a unit this old, we say so if fixing it would cost more than it is worth. Check the model number on the data plate, which separates the air-cooled AH from the water-cooled WH.

Yes. It belongs to an older line, but we do repair it and we look into parts before the visit. If its age makes a repair poor value, you hear that from us.
Why does heat matter so much for an undercounter?
The cabinet traps warm air around the condenser. Less air means higher temperatures, which trigger alarms and slow ice making. Keep the front grille clear.
What beeps does it use?
Beeps one, two, three, six and seven are used on this model. Any other count means we need to look at the machine in person to understand what it is reporting.
