The iCombi Pro is the current Rational combi oven, electric or gas, with a touch control and LM100 software. The Index J units date from 05/2020. Recent software adds new gas messages, Service 140.4 and 140.8, which warn about the gas combustion system and can lock cooking.
On a gas iCombi Pro, the lockout is lifted from the Gas Parameters menu by a technician after the cause is fixed. We do not reset it before we know what failed. Typical checks are the ignition electrode, the gas valve, the gas connection and the combustion blower speed. On electric ovens we look first at water supply, scale and the temperature sensors.
Water is hard in many areas, so the steam parts need regular descaling. We quote in writing before any work.

What is Service 140 on an iCombi Pro?
It is a warning about the gas combustion system. At level 3 the oven blocks cooking, and only a technician can reset it. We find why the gas problem repeated before we lift it.
Can an iCombi Pro lock out because of hard water?
Scale mainly affects the steam parts, not the gas side. Hard water can still trigger water and sensor messages, so descaling on schedule keeps both electric and gas models running.
How do I know if my iCombi Pro is gas or electric?
Look at the supply connections behind the oven. A gas oven has a gas connection. If you are unsure, tell us the model line and we will confirm before the visit.
