The UG and UE series covers the UltraGold gas fryers (UG14, UG18, UG20) and the electric fryers (UE18, UE20). The letters on the data plate tell you which you have: UG is gas and UE is electric.
On a gas UG we check ignition, the gas valve and the high limit. On an electric UE we look at the contactor and the elements. Both depend on the probe and controller, so those are always part of our visit.
If your fryer has an UltraStat 23, a PROBE message or an alarm tells us where to begin. Tell us the model and any message you saw when you book, and we will bring the right parts. Oil that is still hot has to cool completely before we can start.

UG is the gas fryer and UE is the electric, and both belong to the UltraGold family. The data plate shows the letters, and we use them to know whether to check ignition or elements.
My UG14 shows an alarm. What should I do?
Turn the fryer off at the control and let the oil cool completely. Do not drain hot oil. Then call us to schedule service so we can test the probe, limit and controller.
Do you service both gas and electric models?
Yes. One visit can cover the controls, the heat source and the filtration, whether the fryer burns gas or heats with electric elements, and you get a written price first.
