The eikon e6 is an older Merrychef speed oven with two heaters, a low one and a high one. It uses the QTS touch screen and the SRB relay board. Because of the second heater, the e6 has codes that the other eikon ovens do not: E087 for the low heater test and E115 for the convection fan controller.

The high heater on the e6 uses the same codes as the heater on the other models, E092 and E116. A software conflict shows as E083. We check the filter and vents first, then both heaters, the fan controller, the magnetron and the boards.

The e6 is an older line. We repair it and say plainly when a repair is not worth it.

Why does the e6 have extra heater codes?

It has two heaters. E087 is the low one and the high heater uses the same codes as the single heater on the other eikon models.

What does E115 mean on an e6?

The convection fan controller reported a failure. The oven stops the fan until a technician tests the controller, the motor and the wiring, and we do that on site and give you the price first.

Is an e6 worth repairing?

Many e6 ovens still work in kitchens today. Heaters and controllers can be repaired, with a written quote before work and an honest word if the oven is too worn.
