The OV520 is Baxter’s rotating rack oven with the Smart Touch touchscreen. It comes as a single or double rack, in gas or electric, and the model numbers are OV520G1, OV520G2, OV520E1 and OV520E2. The G marks gas and the E marks electric, so the data plate tells us the fuel at once.
When an OV520 stops, we begin with the error screen. Green screens are mild, red screens must be cleared before heating can go on, and a gas model also has an LED on the ignition module that flashes a pattern for us to read. We check that the rack turns freely, that nothing is jammed, and that the door switch makes.
A rack oven that goes down mid-bake costs real product, so we read the error screen first and plan parts from it. If you smell gas, leave the area and call the gas utility from outside. Our price is in writing before work, and an oven past repair gets a plain answer.

Green screens are the mild kind, such as a request to close the loading door. Yellow errors let a bake continue with reduced settings, and red errors must be fixed before heating can continue.

Can I clear a red error screen myself?
A red screen has to be corrected before heating continues, so clearing it without finding the cause usually brings it back. Note the code and call us.
