The OV520 is a rotating rack oven with a Smart Touch screen, built in G1 and G2 gas and E1 and E2 electric versions. The OV500 has an advanced electronic control with backup controls, and the older OV500G1 and G2 without the EE suffix are still in service. The CS500 is a budget rack oven, and the OV320 and OV310 are mini rack ovens.
On the OV500, SHdn with a flashing temperature means a safety alarm has stopped heating, and LOC OUT means the temperature fell below 150 degrees F. UPdt-FAIL-USb-Err shows when a recipe file fails to load from USB. On the OV520, yellow screens such as E5, E6, E10 and E11 let baking continue at reduced settings, while red screens like E8, E9, E25 and E26 need attention before heating resumes. E85 simply asks you to close the loading door.
If a gas oven heats slowly or the burner does not start, reopen the door once, then call us. We check the hood ventilation interlock, the ignition module and the flue, which should be checked yearly on gas ovens. If you smell gas, leave the building and call the gas utility from outside.

Yellow errors let the oven continue with reduced settings, but the cause is still there. Tell us the error number and we check it before it turns into a red error.
What does a rapid beep on my Baxter oven mean?
It is a temperature alert in Kosher mode, telling you the oven temperature is at risk of falling below the approved range. We check the heating system and the mode setting.
Do you repair the older OV500 ovens without the EE suffix?
Yes. We service older OV500 models still in service, and we tell you plainly if a repair would cost more than the oven is worth. You get a written price before any work begins.
