Repairs this series usually needs

  1. E01 boiler fill time-out and E02 boiler pressure time-out
  2. E03, E04 and E15 boiler pressure sensor problems
  3. E09 to E12 short circuits on the group circuits
  4. E19 boiler over pressure
  5. W01 to W04 no flowmeter signal on a group

The Classe 11 is one of Rancilio’s current multi-group lines, in USB and Xcelsius versions. It keeps an error history of the last 32 warnings and errors with date and time, so we can often tell what the machine saw before the call. Codes starting E are errors, and codes starting W are warnings.

The list is long and specific: filling and pressure time-outs, pressure sensor problems, 24 volt short circuits on each group, a boiler over pressure code and flowmeter warnings for each group. Each code names a circuit, which speeds up the diagnosis.

Owners should keep to the water supply, the filter and the dose. Boiler and electrical work is ours, and we quote in writing first. If you have the error history in front of you when you call, read us the last few entries.

FAQRancilio Classe 11 USB and Xcelsius Espresso Machines questions
Where do I see old errors on a Classe 11?

The machine keeps an error history of the last 32 warnings and errors with date and time. Read us what it shows when you call, since it tells us what led up to the problem.

What is the difference between E and W codes?

E codes are errors and W codes are warnings. W01 to W04 are flowmeter warnings for groups 1 to 4. The numbers after E name the circuit involved.

What should I do if I see E19?

E19 is boiler over pressure. Switch the machine off, keep clear of the steam wand and boiler, let it cool, and call us. Do not open any valve or fitting.
