A Vulcan griddle is tougher than most equipment in the kitchen, but the plate, burners and thermostats still need attention. We repair gas and electric griddles, from manual-valve models to those with thermostatic controls.
On a gas griddle that will not light, we check the gas supply, the pilot and the safety valve. If one zone heats and another stays cool, we check the burners and the thermostat for that zone. On an electric griddle, a cold section sends us to the element and its thermostat. Hot spots can also come from a warped plate or a build-up of carbon and grease, so we look at the plate itself and the grease trough.
Humid, salty or greasy air speeds up rust on plates and valves, and cleaning after each shift prevents a lot of calls. If you smell gas, step outside with your crew and call the gas utility. We confirm parts before we arrive, tell you plainly if an older griddle is not worth saving, and give a written price before any work. A 30-day warranty on our work is included.
