Blodgett Commercial Oven Repair
We repair Blodgett convection ovens in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego, including the older Mark V XCEL with its IQ2T computerized control. The display messages help us find the problem quickly.
Common Blodgett convection ovens problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Oven does not heat
Hi on the display
HEAT ERR message
FAN ERR or FANC ERR
DOOR OPEN with the door closed
The Mark V XCEL convection oven with the IQ2T control is an older line that still works in many kitchens. The control shows short messages, and an audible alarm sounds with each one. Hi means the oven is more than 40 F above the highest setpoint. Prob is a probe problem. HEAT ERR appears when the oven takes more than 10 minutes to climb from 150 to 300 F after a cool start.
FAN ERR means the fan failed to run during a call for heat, and FANC ERR points to the contacts in the fan control circuit. For either one, press TOGGLE/CLEAR to clear the alarm and again to clear the message. If it returns, turn the oven off and call us. DOOR OPEN means the control senses an open door. Close the door, and if the message stays, we check the door switch.
When the oven simply does not heat, we confirm the plug, the power switch, the doors and the control, then test the heating parts. Years of kitchen heat and humidity are hard on fan motors and door switches. Older Mark V ovens get an honest repair-or-replace answer, and we confirm parts before we arrive. You receive a written price first and a 30-day warranty on our work.

What does FANC ERR mean on a Blodgett oven?
FANC ERR means a contact problem in the fan control circuit. Clear it with TOGGLE/CLEAR as the control instructs. Should it come back, switch the oven off and give us a call.
Why does my Blodgett oven say DOOR OPEN when it is closed?
The door switch or its alignment may be the cause. Close the door firmly first. If the message stays, we test the switch and its wiring.
What does Hi on a Blodgett display mean?
It means the oven temperature is more than 40 F above the highest setpoint, with an alarm. We check the probe, control and heating circuit.
