What does Speed Queen error code Eio 47 mean?
Besides filling the tub, a washer-extractor can spray water over the load. The hot spray valve controls the hot side of that function, and like the other valves it is driven by an output on the input/output board. When the board detects a short on that output, it posts Eio 47, and the screen shows “Hot Spray Valve Shorted”.
The manual says the control sounds a pulsing alarm tone for two minutes and that the error clears when power to the machine is disconnected and then reconnected. It does not give causes or tell what the cycle does next. Because the spray valve is used only at certain points in a program, the code may appear mid-cycle rather than at start.
