What does Speed Queen error code E bS mean?
The output board is the part of the control that switches the machine's valves, the door lock and the drive. The front control checks that board constantly. If the board reports a short, or the circuits on it stop responding the way they should, the control shuts the machine down instead of switching loads onto a damaged board (display text: E bS). The wording differs by model: on the topload, the output board is not operating properly, while on the washer-extractor the input and output board is shorted. The cause may be a short on the board or on a part wired to it, such as a valve coil or lock solenoid. The manual lists a shorted wire or part on a circuit the board runs, a board whose circuits have burned or shorted, moisture that reached the board, and a supply problem that mimics a short. For the CHM1792C, the owner's manual clears it by disconnecting and reconnecting power. A repeat means the short is still present.
