What does Speed Queen error code EI05 mean?
When someone loads settings into a Quantum washer through the infra-red window, the control does not simply store whatever it receives. It checks each value against the range that option allows. If one programming option arrives set to a value the control cannot use, the control rejects the entire message instead of keeping the good parts, and the display shows EI05. That is why the code can look out of proportion to a small typing slip: one wrong number is enough to turn the whole transfer away. The washer is not reporting a water, door or motor condition, and normal cycles are unaffected; you see EI05 only while a person is loading settings with the external device.
