A cooker-mixer is a Groen kettle with a built-in agitator. Plate numbers include DEE-4T, DHT-40, DHT-60, and the D-40, D-60 and D-80 INA/2 models.
Hot contents and a moving agitator make shutting the kettle off first the sensible step. When a mixer slows or stops, we check the drive, the shaft seal and the controls. Slow heating sends us to the heat source and the jacket. We also look at the drawoff valve and seals. Let the kettle cool before anyone gets near the mixer.

It can let product out and wear the shaft over time. We replace the seal once you approve the written price, so schedule the repair before the leak grows into a bigger job.
