Split-Pak is the remote system for Nor-Lake walk-ins: the condensing section sits away from the evaporator in the box. It uses the LogiTemp control built on the KE2 Evap OEM board, and the LogiTemp Plus version adds reverse cycle defrost. Reverse cycle defrost takes about 3 to 5 minutes on a freezer, compared with 20 to 30 minutes for electric heater defrost.
The controller shows three-digit alarm codes on its Basic Display. We read each code and trace it to the sensor, valve, wiring or part behind it, since many codes describe a reading that is off rather than a part that has failed.
