- Table warm from a dirty condenser, shown as CHt or CON

- Line voltage alarms uHi and uLi
The 8000-290 series is Randell’s current prep table, with model numbers such as 8148N-290, 8260N-290, 8395N-290, 84111N-290 and 8268W-290. The last digits before the letter give the table width in inches, N is a standard top, W is a wide top, and -290 marks the R290 version. The serial number is behind the hinged vented door of the compressor compartment.
Controls are Carel or Danfoss, so the same problem shows as a different code depending on which your table has. We start with the condenser, the door seals and the voltage, then the sensors and the sealed system.
Because R290 is flammable, we ask owners not to open the compressor compartment.

How do I tell if my table has Carel or Danfoss?
The display and the code names tell us. Carel shows codes like E0, E1 and CHt, and Danfoss shows codes like E01, CON and uHi.
What does the -290 suffix mean?
It marks the version that uses R290 refrigerant. R290 is flammable, so the sealed system is a job for us and not for the owner.
Why does a hot kitchen matter for these tables?
The maker designs them for a room between 70F and 86F. Above that the condenser works harder, and the table may run warm or wear faster.
