HyPlus steamers pair a pressureless cooking cabinet with a boiler that is electric, gas or fed by direct steam. The last letters of the model show which, as in HY-6SG, HY-6SE and HY-6SM. Others are labeled CNEB-24, CNEB-36, CNEB-48 and CNGB-24.
A boiler lives or dies by its water. On a visit we check the fill and drain, the level controls and the boiler walls for scale, then the heat source: elements, burner, or the steam feed. We also look at the door seal and cabinet drain, since lost steam makes any boiler look weak.
Near a gas model, a gas odor means going outdoors and phoning the gas company. Older HyPlus units are common in kitchens, and we repair them too.

It tells the boiler type: G for gas, E for electric and M for direct steam. The data plate carries the full model, which we use to match parts.
Why is my boiler steamer slow to heat?
Scale on the boiler is the most common reason. A leaking door gasket also wastes steam. We check both and put the price on paper before work.
