Repairs this series usually needs

  1. Kettle not heating
  2. Control not holding temperature
  3. Tilt handle or gear stiff
  4. Drawoff valve leaking
  5. Jacket not holding pressure

Groen table-top kettles sit on a counter or stand and tilt to pour. Plates show models such as TDB, TDHC, TDA/1, TDC/3 or T5C, and double units appear as (2)CTDC/3-20-SE. Their Classic, Advanced and Cook2Temp controls are rated for wash-down.

Let the kettle and contents cool first. When a table-top kettle heats poorly, we check the heat source, then the jacket and its relief valve. After that come the controls, the tilt gear and the drawoff. Gas versions get an ignition check, and any gas odor sends everyone outside to phone the gas company.

Small kettles take plenty of daily use, and we repair older ones as well as current models. Bring the plate number when you book and we confirm the parts first.

FAQGroen Table-Top Tilting Steam-Jacketed Kettles questions
Are table-top kettles safe to wash down?

The Classic, Advanced and Cook2Temp controls are built for wash-down, but let the kettle cool before cleaning. If water gets into a control or the display stops responding, call us.

What does the (2) in front of a model mean?

It marks a double unit with two kettles side by side. Read the whole line from the data plate for us when you book, so we can confirm parts for both kettles.

My kettle will not tilt smoothly. What now?

Stop using it and let it cool. Stiff tilt gear needs a look from us, because forcing it can damage the gear or spill hot product. The repair is written up for your approval first.
