Milnor Models We Service
We service the MCR coin washer-extractors (MCR09E5, MCR12E5, MCR16E5 and MCR18E4) with the seven-formula coin control and inverter. We also repair E-P Plus washer-extractors with H_J, V_J, X_J and MWR_ model prefixes, including numbers such as 30022H7J, 30015T5J, 36021V5J and 42026V6J. The older MCR machines are legacy equipment that still earns its keep in many laundries.
On these controls the display messages tell us where to look. E0 is door not closed, and E1 is a door latch lock error, so we test the door switch and the latch. E3 and E4 relate to the level switch and a fill that takes too long, and E5 is too long to drain. Hard water scales inlet screens, so we check those and the water pressure first. E6 is an inverter error.
Vibration, Probes and Door Locks
A vibration switch that trips sends us to the load, the mounting and the switch. On E-P Plus machines, a check probe message sends us to the temperature probe, whose resistance should fall within a set range. After a normal cycle the door latch stays locked for 100 seconds so the basket can coast to a stop, and the maker calls for a daily door interlock test on coin machines. We run that test during a coin machine visit.
We hand you the written price first, and our work comes with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Milnor codes and alarms
What the display or the blinking light means, what is safe to check, and when to stop and call us.
Milnor lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Why does my Milnor machine say too long to fill?
The level was not reached in the allowed time. We check the inlet screens, the water pressure, the valves and the level switch. Check that the supply taps are fully open before you call.
Why will the door not open right after the cycle?
The latch stays locked for about 100 seconds after a normal cycle so the basket can coast to a stop. Wait a couple of minutes before pulling on it. If it stays locked longer, we test the latch and its circuit.
Can you repair older MCR coin machines?
Yes. We repair MCR washers, including the coin controller, the door interlock and the inverter. You see a written price before we start, and we tell you plainly when a repair no longer pays.
