STEB and STGB are the stacked washer-dryers in the older Speed Queen laundry range, 22 model numbers such as STEBXFSP172TW01 and STGBXFSP112TW01. One cabinet holds both machines, so a problem can come from either level, and the data plate carries the number.
We start by finding which half is not working. On the washer side the control reports a fill error if the pressure switch does not open in time, a door error if the lock does not confirm, and a drive error if the motor circuit is broken. A serial communication error points to the wiring or fuse between the master control and the motor control.

What does a door lock error mean on the washer half?
The door did not lock in time or did not unlock at the end of the cycle. We check the lock, the latch and the wiring, then the control input.
