Commercial Griddle Repair in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego
Griddles and flat tops must heat evenly to cook consistently. We repair gas and electric griddles and charbroilers, find the cause of cold spots, and quote in writing before we start.
Which griddles do you have?
Pick the maker on the data plate: each page lists its problems, codes and model series. Not on the list? Call us; we repair other makers too.
Common griddles problems we fix
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Cold spots across the plate
Burner not lighting on one section
Thermostat not controlling heat
Grease trough leaking or clogged
Plate warped or cracked
Pilot going out repeatedly
Plates, burners and controls
Flat-top griddles in countertop and floor models, plancha-style surfaces and charbroilers fall in this category. They sit at the center of breakfast lines, diners, cafeterias, food courts and burger kitchens, and heat with gas burners or electric elements under a steel or chrome plate.
Griddles age through heat and grease. Burner ports clog, thermostat knobs and valves wear, and plates can warp when cooled with water. Grease works its way into pilot areas and wiring, and humid coastal air speeds rust under the plate and in the trough.
Our first checks
We examine each burner or element zone, the ignition or pilot, the gas valve and thermostat for that zone, the plate surface and the grease path. A cold section does not say by itself whether fuel, ignition or the control is to blame, so we test them one by one.
On an older griddle, thermostats and valves are routine repairs, while a badly warped plate means replacement, and we say so plainly. Please do not shock a hot plate with cold water. If you smell gas, leave the building and call the gas utility from outside. Keep the data plate details ready.

Cold spots usually come from a clogged or weak burner, a failing thermostat on that zone, a warped plate, or heavy residue from cooking. We check each zone separately and give you what we found and the repair price in writing.
Do you repair charbroilers as well as griddles?
Yes. We service gas and electric griddles, flat tops and charbroilers. Tell us which you have and read the model off the data plate, so we bring the right burners, valves and thermostats.
Should I replace an older griddle or repair it?
Many older griddles repair well if the plate is flat and the frame is sound. After the check we tell you what is practical, and you see the written price before we begin.
