Common glasswashers problems we fix
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Glasses cloudy or spotted
Machine not draining fully
Wash arms spraying weakly
Detergent or rinse aid not feeding
Leak at the door
Machine tripping or not starting
The machine behind the bar
Glasswashers are compact machines that wash and rinse glasses, mugs and bar tools in bars, cafes, restaurants and event venues. Most are undercounter units with a pump, spray arms, a heating element and automatic detergent and rinse aid feed.
Bars are hard on them. Sugar, citrus and beer residue clog strainers, hard water coats the element and nozzles with scale, and staff load them fast and open the door often. Water hardness is the most common reason for cloudy glassware in Los Angeles, San Diego and Houston.
Our checks
We look at fill and drain, strainers, spray arms, the pump, the heating element, chemical feed and the door seal. A cloudy glass does not say whether water, feed or temperature is the cause, so we test them in turn.
Older glasswashers are often worth repairing with a new pump, seal or feed part; a corroded or cracked tub is another matter. Follow your manual for chemicals, and please do not mix cleaning products or open the door while the machine has power. Have the model label ready when you call.
Glasswashers codes by maker
The same characters mean different things on different makers and controls, so pick yours first.

Cloudy glassware usually means hard water scale, a rinse aid or detergent feed problem, or a rinse that is too weak. We check the water, feed system and spray arms, and we can recommend a filter or softener if scale is the cause.
Do you repair under-bar glasswashers?
Yes. We service undercounter and countertop glasswashers in bars, cafes and restaurants. Tell us the model from the data plate when you call and describe how the glasses look coming out.
Is an older glasswasher worth fixing?
Often, particularly when the tub is sound. We give a written price after the check and tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense for your bar.
