Wascomat Washer Error Code 01: No Water
Code 01 means the washer-extractor never reached the water level the program asked for within the allowed time, normally about 10 minutes. Make sure the water supply valves are open and the hoses are not kinked, then restart the program once. If it stops again, the fill system needs a technician.
Medium: the cycle stops and the washer cannot finish loads until the fill problem is fixed.
What does Wascomat error code 01 mean?
The Compass control fills the drum until its level system reports the level set by the program. A timer runs during the fill, and the usual limit is 10 minutes, though the exact figure depends on machine type and software. If the level has not been reached when the timer ends, the control stops waiting, ends the step and shows ERROR 001 / NO WATER so the operator knows the fill failed rather than being left with a silent, half-filled drum. The control cannot say why the water did not arrive. It only knows that the level system never reported the target level. A blocked or dead filler valve, a broken cable to the valve board, a failed valve control board or a leaking level system all end the same way, which is why the cause has to be narrowed down with tests.

Safe checks before calling for service
- Check that both water supply valves behind the machine are fully open and that nobody closed a shared shutoff valve.
- Look at the fill hoses for kinks or crushing, without moving the machine.
- Press stop, let the program reset, and start the same program once more.
- Note whether the drum fills at all, how high the water gets, and the exact text shown, then give that to us when you call.
How a technician diagnoses error code 01
- Read the full code and the recent error history on the Compass display.
- Confirm water pressure and flow at the machine inlets, and clean the inlet screens.
- Test the filler valve coil and the supply to it, then check the cable to the valve control board for a break.
- Check the valve control board output while a fill is requested.
- Inspect the level hose and level system for leaks or water traps and compare readings in the service program.
- Replace only the part that fails its test.
- The valve control board and filler valves run on mains voltage behind the panels, so testing them is work for a trained technician.
- Telling a blocked valve from a leaking level system needs the service program and a meter, not guesswork.
- Cutting the fill time or bypassing the level check can flood the room, so the settings stay untouched.

Can I keep using the washer after code 01?
Not for that load. The control ended the step because the drum never filled, so the cycle will not complete until the cause is cleared.
Does a restart fix it?
Sometimes a closed supply valve is the whole story and a restart then works. If the same code comes back, the problem is in the fill or level system.
Is code 01 the same as code 07?
No. Code 01 is too little water and code 07 is too much water. They both involve the level system, but they point to opposite problems.
