Wascomat Washer Error Code 08: No Heating
Code 08 means the water is warming too slowly while heating is on, normally less than 3 C every 10 minutes. The cause is usually the heater element, its power supply or its contactor. A technician should test it.
Medium: hot programs cannot complete, though cold programs may still run.
What does Wascomat error code 08 mean?
When a program calls for heat, the Compass control watches the temperature rise. If the water warms too slowly, with a usual limit of about 3 C per 10 minutes depending on machine and software, the control stops waiting and shows ERROR 008 / NO HEATING. The check does not know why the heat is missing, only that the temperature is not moving fast enough. The manual points to the heater element, the power supply to it, and the heater contactor that switches it. One more cause applies to mop-washing machines: the water level in the mop program step was too low, since the minimum mop main-wash level with heating is 90 scale units. A machine with a good heater still cannot meet the rate if there is not enough water over the element or the program step is set too low.
