Repairs this series usually needs
- HI CAb alarm after a restock or a warm load
- Condenser clean alarm from a clogged coil
- Sensor messages from a cabinet, coil or discharge sensor
- Condensate pan overflow in a humid room
- Frost on the coil from a defrost problem
The G-Series is the current Traulsen reach-in and pass-thru line, sold as refrigerators and as freezers. The data plate shows a series code that runs from G100 and G110 up to the G3 numbers, and glass-door merchandiser versions carry five digits ending in M, such as a G11010M. If your cabinet has a tap-tap keypad, it is this line.
We start with the alarm history and the sensors, since the G control logs what it has seen. Then we look at the condenser, because a dirty coil is the usual reason for a warm cabinet, and at the door gaskets and hump cover. When water collects in the condensate pan, a gasket that leaks humid air is the common reason.
Some newer cabinets use a flammable-class refrigerant, so refrigerant work is left to us.

Read the series code on the data plate. G-Series cabinets show codes that begin with G and a number, and they use a tap-tap keypad. Older R and A cabinets have a different control.
Why does my G-Series cabinet overflow its condensate pan?
A door gasket or hump cover that does not seal lets in humid air, and a hot room adds load. We check the seals, the pan and the drain.
Is a freezer version serviced the same way?
The control and menu are the same, and we check the same items. A freezer adds electric defrost checks, so we test the heater and its sensor too.
