Wascomat Washer Error Code 37: Low DC Voltage
Code 37 means the motor control measured too low a voltage on its mains input, stopped the motor and still found it low once the motor stood still. Check that the supply is steady, and call us if the code returns.
Medium: the motor stops on low supply, though a few isolated registrations can be normal.
What does Wascomat error code 37 mean?
Although the display reads LOW DC VOLTAGE, the manual describes the check as one on the mains input to the motor control. The control watches that voltage while driving the motor. If it drops too low, the control stops the motor. It then looks again with the motor stationary, and if the voltage is still low, it sets ERROR 037 / LOW DC VOLTAGE. The test separates a momentary dip from a real low supply. The manual lists two causes: low mains voltage, and the machine on/off switch being operated in an unsuitable manner. Its instructions are to check that the supply voltage is stable and never below nominal minus 10 percent, to check fuses and cables, and to check supply in the network cabling and at the motor control. A few registrations in the error logger can be normal.
Affected models and control systems

Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.
What you may notice
- ERROR 037 / LOW DC VOLTAGE appears when the motor starts
- The lights in the laundry dim when the washer runs
- The code appears when several large machines start together
- The code appears after the machine was switched on and off quickly
Possible causes
Listed in Wascomat's documentation
- Low mains voltage
- Machine on/off switch operated in an unsuitable manner
Other likely causes — what usually sits behind error code 37 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- A shared circuit overloaded when other machines start at the same time
- A loose connection at the supply that drops voltage under load
Safe checks before calling for service
- Check whether other machines on the same supply showed trouble at the same time.
- Switch the machine off and on once, and avoid flicking the switch repeatedly.
- Ask the building manager about power problems or recent electrical work.
- Write down the time and what else was running, and call us.
How a technician diagnoses error code 37
- Read the code and review how many times it has been registered in the error logger.
- Measure the supply voltage at the machine and confirm it never falls below nominal minus 10 percent.
- Check fuses and cables for heat or poor contact.
- Check supply in the network cabling feeding the machine.
- Measure supply at the motor control input.
- Correct the supply problem or repair the failing part.
- Measuring supply voltage and tracing a drop through cabling is live electrical work.
- A low supply may come from the building or utility side, which we report to the electrician.
- Fuses and cables carry high current and have to be handled by a qualified technician.
How error code 37 differs from similar codes
Code 38 HIGH DC VOLTAGE is the opposite check on the same mains input measurement.

Related Wascomat washer error codes
Is code 37 a washer problem or a power problem?
Often a power problem, since the manual points to low mains voltage. A technician confirms it with measurements.
Is one registration a concern?
No. The manual notes that a few registrations in the error logger can be normal.
Can switching the machine on and off cause it?
Yes. The manual lists operating the on/off switch in an unsuitable manner as a cause.
