Repairs this series usually needs
- Pilot or ignition problems
- Fryer slow to recover
- High limit tripping
- Probe errors
- Filter pump or drain valve trouble
The H55 is Frymaster’s high-efficiency 50 lb gas fryer, rated at 80,000 Btu/hr per pot. The H55 and PH155 numbers on the data plate mark this family. Depending on the build you may see a Digital Timer, a CM3.5 or the 3000 control, and the fryer may or may not filter.
On an H55 that is slow or will not light, we check ignition and the gas valve first, then the probe, then the high limit. Slow recovery can also trace to the heat tubes and flue. A gas smell means stepping outside and phoning the gas utility before you phone us.
An H55 that has served for years can often keep going with the right part. When it cannot, you hear it from us first, and the quote comes before the tools do.

H55 is the model family for this 50 lb high-efficiency gas fryer. Look for H55 or PH155 on the data plate, and tell us which one you see when you book service.
Why is my H55 slow to recover?
Slow recovery can come from weak ignition, a limited gas supply, a probe that reads wrongly or sooty heat tubes. We measure the recovery first and then test each of those causes in order.
Do you repair filtered H55 fryers?
Yes. When a filtered H55 stops filtering, the pad, pump, O-rings and valves are all part of the visit, and we trace the oil path until we find where it stops moving.
